Acceptable Use Policy

Effective: July 31, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Service operated by Meridian Vertex LLC, doing business as LicensePulse ("LicensePulse"). It supplements and is incorporated into our Terms of Service. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.

1. Prohibited content

You will not use the Service to upload, store, or transmit:

• Content that infringes any patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, or other intellectual property right.
• Content that is unlawful, libelous, defamatory, harassing, or otherwise actionable under applicable law.
• Sexually explicit material, content that exploits minors, or content that promotes violence or self-harm.
• Malware, ransomware, viruses, worms, or other malicious code.
• Protected Health Information (PHI) under HIPAA.
• Payment card data (PAN, CVV, etc.) — the Service is not PCI-attested.
• Government-classified information — the Service is not authorized for any classification level.
• Personal data of categories that would constitute "special categories" under GDPR Article 9 (race, health, biometric, sexual orientation, etc.) unless expressly agreed in writing.

2. Prohibited activities

You will not:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or extract the source of the Service except where law expressly permits.
• Use the Service to build a competing product or to benchmark in a manner intended to extract trade secrets.
• Resell, sublicense, lease, lend, or otherwise commercialize access to third parties without our written consent.
• Bypass, disable, or interfere with security, authentication, rate-limiting, or quota mechanisms.
• Conduct security testing (including pen testing, fuzzing, scanning) without our prior written consent. To request authorization, contact security@licensepulse.app.
• Use automated scripts that materially exceed normal usage patterns and impair Service availability for others.
• Send spam, phishing messages, or unsolicited bulk communications via integrations connected to your account.
• Misrepresent your affiliation with us or impersonate another user.

3. Integrations and credentials

When you connect a third-party integration (e.g. Microsoft 365, Salesforce, GitHub, Slack):

• You must have authority to do so on behalf of your organization.
• You must use OAuth scopes appropriate to your role.
• You must not share or expose your access tokens or our agent API keys.
• You must revoke compromised credentials immediately.

4. Network and infrastructure abuse

You will not use the Service in any way that:

• Threatens the stability, security, or integrity of our infrastructure or that of our sub-processors.
• Generates traffic patterns intended to cause denial of service.
• Probes for vulnerabilities outside the scope of an authorized program.

5. Reporting violations

To report suspected violations of this AUP, email security@licensepulse.app with as much detail as possible.

6. Enforcement

We may, in our sole and reasonable discretion:

• Investigate suspected violations.
• Suspend or terminate accounts in accordance with the Terms of Service.
• Cooperate with law enforcement and disclose information when legally required.

For non-emergency violations, we will typically attempt to notify you and give you an opportunity to cure before suspension. For emergencies (e.g. ongoing abuse causing service-wide harm), we may suspend immediately and notify after.

7. Updates

We may revise this AUP from time to time. Material changes are announced by email at least 30 days before they take effect (or sooner if needed to address emergent security or legal risks).
